Mar is a marine biologist from Barcelona with an MSc in Marine Sciences from Sorbonne University, France. Through international experience working with research teams across the Pacific, Atlantic, and Indian Oceans in academia, industry, and non-governmental organisations, she has developed expertise in photo-identification, cetacean behaviour, bioacoustics, morphometrics, and the assessment of human impacts on marine ecosystems. Mar is dedicated to advancing our understanding of marine megafauna and supporting their conservation and long-term protection through research, collaboration, and science-based management.
